# Manage endpoints

The endpoint list is where most work in Outpost starts. This guide covers
finding the machine you want, reading the inventory the Agent reported, keeping
an estate organised so that a policy can be aimed at a group rather than a list,
and retiring a machine so its identity stops working. It is for anybody who uses
the console daily.
