# See your devices and reports

The portal shows the devices your IT provider looks after for you, and the
reports they make available. This page covers both.

## Before you begin

- Seeing devices needs **View assets**. Reports need **View reports**, and
emailing them on a schedule needs **Schedule reports**. The **IT contact**
  role has the first two.

## Look up a device

Select **Devices**. Each device shows its type and model, how old it is, its
warranty, and when it was last seen. **Find a device** searches the names,
people, models, and sites on the page.

| Shown | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Under warranty until** a date | The warranty is in force. |
| **Warranty ends** a date | It ends within 90 days. |
| **Out of warranty since** a date | It has ended. |
| **Warranty not recorded** | Your IT provider has no warranty date for it. |
| **Online now** | It checked in within the last 15 minutes. |
| **Last seen** a time | When it last checked in. |

Open a device for more:

- **About this device**: type, make and model, system, serial number,
processor and memory, site, who uses it, and its age.
- **Updates**: whether it is up to date, or how many updates are waiting or
failed. Your IT provider installs these for you, so there is nothing to do
  unless they ask.
- **Backups**: when the last good backup was, if the device is backed up.

Select **Get help with this device** to open a ticket about it. When you have
remote access to it, **Connect** starts a session. See
[Connect to your computers](/portal-guide/remote-access/).

## Download a report

1. Select **Reports**.
2. Beside a report, select **View PDF** or **CSV**.

The reports cover your organization only, such as an executive summary,
alert history, tickets and response times, remote access activity, policy and
compliance status, newly found devices, and backup coverage.

## Get a report by email

1. On **Reports**, select **Email me** beside the report.
2. Under **How often**, choose **Every week** or **Every month**, then the day.
Days 29 to 31 are not in every month.
3. In **At** and **Time zone**, choose when it is sent.
4. Under **File type**, choose **PDF** or **Spreadsheet (CSV)**.
5. Select **Start emails**.

The report is sent to you only. **Emailed reports** lists your schedules.
Select **Stop** to end one. If you lose access to reports, your schedules
stop on their own.
